Mavis Lamont Danielson age 81 of Hibbing passed away at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation on October 19, 2020.. She was born June 8, 1941, to Jerome and Rosemary (Allen)Lamont.

Mavis was a teacher for many years at Cobb Cook and Greenhaven. She attended First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. On October 6, 1995, she was joined in marriage to Charles Danielson.

Mavis was an avid reader, she liked to collect knick knacks and craft. Seeing her grandchildren was very important to her.
 
Mavis is survived by her children, Cyndi (Patrick) Klobuchar, David (Ruth) Danielson,Kevin (Jerri) Danielson, Scott (Anna) Danielson, grandchildren, Jacob (Tracey)Klobuchar, Logan (Betsy) Klobuchar, Kaili (Brendan) Salo, Samantha (Heath)Crawford, Dylan (Noel) Danielson, Kyrstin (Jackie) Goldschmidt, KaitlynDanielson, Chandra, Andy and Rand Heath and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Rosemary, husband, Charles and son, Thomas Grothe. Private services were held at Maple Hill Cemetery inHibbing.

William Laurence Larsen 78, passed away of natural causes at the Northern Montana Care Center on March 1, 2020. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. William was born on March 2, 1941 to Peter and Ruth Larsen in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He graduated high school and went on to get a certification as a baker. He worked for various bakeries in Havre for twenty years. His skill and artistry in baking and decorating cakes made him popular and he received many requests to custom bake wedding cakes for marrying couples.

After twenty years of baking, William decided to hang up his apron and pursue delivering mail from town to town on the High Line as a courier for the post office.
William was also an avid hunter. He chased deer and elk all around the High Line and Montana.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Ruth (Stoller) Larsen. He is survived by his brother, David Larsen of Havre; three sisters, Bonnie Jeska, Diana Sorenson, Betty Shimpa; and niece, Jamie Larsen.

Daniel Ray Larson, born April 6, 1941 in Havre, MT to Raymond E. and Marjorie B. Larson attended Central High School in Grand Forks, ND.  His father was a department store manager and moved frequently to new assignments.  His mother died in 1950 and his father in 1983.  Daniel was also known as Danny.  He married Margaret Bateman In Mille Lacs MN on September 24, 1960.  They divorced in Las Vegas NV on July 9, 1968.  He married Susan G. Luther in Orange County, California.  Dan had three siblings, Richard K. Larson, Heidi Beeler and Kamalani Larson.  Daniel died on April 22, 2015 in Seaside, OR.

Sandra Lavelle was born June 8, 1941 to Clare William and Marion Holmes Lavelle.  The Lavelle's lived on Lincoln Drive in Grand Forks during the mid to late 1950's where Sandra attended Central High School.  Mr. Lavelle was a civilian instructor at Grand Forks Air Base and taught at an elementary school in Tracy California.  Sandra lived with her parents in Tracy CA until their deaths in 1998 and 1999 and subsequently moved to her sister's residence (Beth Bialek) in Novato, CA where she passed away on June 16, 2019. Arrangements were made through Eaton Family Funeral Home.

Karen Lehr Benner passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, surrounded by those who mattered most to her. Karen was born on March 11, 1941, in Fredonia, North Dakota to Rueben and Ida Hoff Lehr. She spent her youth in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1959. She continued her studies at the University of North Dakota and completed her degree in three years receiving a Bachelor of Science degree with a home economics major and a minor in science. She continued her education at the University of Colorado - Boulder and secured her master's degree in reading. Her formal education ended at the University of Colorado - Denver, where she was pursuing a Ph.D in school administration, curriculum and supervision.

Karen met George E. Benner, Jr. ("Buck") in Grand Forks, and they dated while attending the University of North Dakota. They married in 1962 and moved to Denver where Buck attended law school and Karen started her career as a teacher. Karen and Buck moved to Meeker, Colorado in 1964 where Karen became of force of good for the students within the school district. She spent several years teaching fourth grade, but then felt her time, skill, and talents would be best directed toward helping kids maximize their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. She ended her career with the Meeker schools by serving as the school superintendent for twelve years. At all times, she was committed to her school kids, her peers, and the future of the school district. Unwilling to sit still after retirement, she began consulting with school districts throughout Colorado to help find improvements in operations, curriculum, and finances. Supporting education and an opportunity for an education for all kids was extremely important to her. She was a longtime member, leader and supporter of the P.E.O. organization which focuses on education for women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship.

Karen and Buck were married for 50 years until Buck's unexpected passing in 2012. Buck and Karen are survived by their children, Krista, and Robert (Emily) Benner and their grandchildren, Andrew Benner, Stephen Benner, Thomas Benner, Jordan Healy, Lauren Healy, and Patrick Healy. Karen was an incredible grandmother and cherished every minute she had with them. She was great at planning adventures and events with the grands ranging from big trips to Alaska to things as simple as annual gatherings to bake Christmas cookies.
 
After Buck passed, Karen was fortunate to meet and marry Dr. Howard Fisher in 2018. Karen and Howard had a shared love of music, reading, discussing politics and current events, playing bridge, and entertaining friends. Karen is also survived by Howard, his daughter Molly (Jeremy) Goldsmith, son Jonathan Fisher and his grandchildren Adam and Emily Goldsmith.

A Memorial Service will be held at Wellshire Presbyterian Church 2999 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, Colorado on March 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of Karen's life will occur in Meeker, CO at a date likely near the 4th of July.

Patrick Timothy Lewis, Senior, 75, of Apache Junction, AZ passed away on February 11, 2017 in Mesa, AZ. He was born on December 3, 1941 in Grand Forks, ND. Pat was a veteran of the United States Air Force in which he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, 1960-1966. He lived in Apache Junction for 30 plus years and had interests ranging from gardening to camping, carpentry to watching old westerns.
Pat is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor Lewis; his three children, Patrick Timothy Lewis, Jr., his wife Carrie, their daughter Emily; son Michael F. Lewis, his wife Kathy, their three children Austin, Alyssa, Kaitlin; daughter Yolanda Schiavone, her husband Eric, their five children Katelynn, George, Christopher, Breanna, and Pace.
